Lyn is a former preschool teacher and tutor in English Language Arts, a mother of three grown children, a story-artist with the Greater Columbus Arts Council's Artists-in-Schools Program, and an Ohio Teaching Artist with Ohio State-Based Collaborative Initiative of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Lyn's workshops for both students and mentors (Lyn likes to call them "playshops") link the gifts of the oral traditions with writing skills and reading comprehension, and often enrich other areas of the curriculum, meeting benchmarks of Ohio and National Academic Content Standards.
